A virtual meeting was successfully organized by Team MUKTI on 31 January 2026 with the esteemed sponsor Mr. Amir Hamja, along with the supported students under his sponsorship and members of the Mukti team. The meeting was conducted in a warm, cordial, and engaging environment, creating a meaningful space for interaction, connection, and mutual understanding between the sponsor and the students.
Mr. Amir Hamja has been associated with Mukti as a sponsor since 2019. Prior to becoming a sponsor, he himself was a Mukti scholarship holder from 2015 to 2019, reflecting a full-circle journey from beneficiary to supporter. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering and is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer (AUTOSAR COM Developer) at Hella India Automotive Ltd., based in Baner, Pune.
The sponsored students who participated in the meeting represented the general stream, reflecting the academic focus supported through Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Program. The students included Parineeta Barua, pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication at Asutosh College, and Krishnandu Mondal, pursuing English Honours at Raidighi College. During the interaction, both students shared their academic background, current academic status, personal challenges, aspirations, and future goals.
The meeting was facilitated by Team Mukti, ensuring a smooth, inclusive, and comfortable flow of conversation throughout the session. The sponsor engaged the students in a friendly and open discussion, focusing on their daily life challenges, academic concerns, and study-related difficulties. Guidance was provided on preparing for competitive examinations, improving spoken English and Hindi communication skills, and effectively using AI-based educational tools to support learning.
Mr. Amir Hamja also shared insights from his own student life and professional journey in the corporate sector, helping the students understand real-world career pathways and workplace expectations. Health-related concerns were discussed sensitively during the session, including thalassemia-related challenges, and the sponsor expressed willingness to help connect the students with appropriate medical support if required.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of holistic development beyond academics. Parineeta Barua shared her involvement in extra-curricular and cultural activities, including dance, singing, acting, and martial arts, emphasizing the role of creative engagement in personal growth and confidence building.
The primary objective of the session was to strengthen the bond between the sponsor and students while reinforcing the values of the TSS Program. Team Mukti briefed the sponsor on the program’s support structure, academic monitoring process, and regular follow-up mechanisms, reaffirming Mukti’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible sponsorship management. The sponsor also expressed the need for quarterly virtual meetings to track academic progress and maintain consistent mentorship.
The session helped the students realize that professional success goes hand in hand with social responsibility. The interaction left them feeling encouraged, supported, and motivated, with increased confidence in their academic journey and a strong sense of commitment to give back to society in the future.
The meeting concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reflecting Mukti’s continued dedication to nurturing strong sponsor–student relationships and building sustainable partnerships that empower talented students to achieve their full potential.
