Donation Refund Policy

MUKTI offers a refund policy to its Donors who donated to MUKTI without proper knowledge, unwillingly, or not satisfied by the work of MUKTI. You have to claim the refund within 4 weeks of receiving your receipt from MUKTI. Please send the refund claim to with the subject line “Donation Refund Claim”. Please also provide complete details of the donation made including, but not limited to date of donation, donor name, currency, cause, PAN/TIN number, and transaction details.

We prefer to send automated electronic receipts for all online transactions wherever possible. Once we receive the claim for refund, the information regarding your refund will be sent to you via email with the required details. It may take up to 8 weeks to complete the refund process from the time your claim for refund is received by us.

We do consider refunds in the event that a duplicate transaction occurs due to an error in the software or the processing. Proof of the error needs to be provided for the refund. In case a refund is requested for an erroneous transaction, which is due to the error or mistake of the donor, MUKTI will refund the donation amount after deducting applicable bank/online gateway transaction charges and MUKTI’s own processing charges.

Please also note the following before submitting the claim:

  • The refund will be made to the same payment option(s) originally used to pay for the Donation.
  • We will not be able to refund in cash. Refund will be either by cheque or online transaction if online method is used.
  • MUKTI trustees will have the final decision regarding the refund.
