01. Why the Project is?

• Sundarbans region is one of the most vulnerable and economically deprived areas in India
• Limited access to education and training opportunities for youth and women in the area
• Struggles to find stable employment, leading to unsafe and exploitative work
• Vocational and skill training program can provide them with skills and knowledge
• Pursue better livelihood options and improve socio-economic status
• Enable contribution to economic growth of the region
• Uplift communities and create a more sustainable and prosperous future

02. What the project is?

• MUKTI aims to promote economic empowerment of vulnerable socio-economic groups in West Bengal
• Provides free skill development trainings to women and youth
• Various trades covered including soft toy making, candle making, jute bags, jute sandals, handicrafts, food processing, etc.
• Empowers individuals to earn independently and contribute to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India)

03. How the Project is?

• Dedicated team includes program manager, project coordinator, and field supervisor
• Team works to identify beneficiaries, locations, and training experts
• Conducts surveys and needs assessments
• Prioritizes necessary skills and identifies high-demand areas for training

04. Where the project is?

South24Parganas,Jtragachi New Town ,East&WestMedinipur, Jhargram District.

05. What the impact is?

Over 8000 individuals have been trained across 18 diverse fields, with more than 3500 of them having established successful businesses through market linkages.
