01. Why the project is?

•Need to address critical challenges affecting the global rural population in areas of Water, Healthcare, Energy, Education, Livelihood, and Sustainability.
•Necessity to empower rural communities through education, field research, and capacity building.
•Requirement for innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to the unique sectors of the Sundarbans region.
•Lack of approachable and affordable management pedagogy designed specifically from a rural perspective.

02. What the project is?

•A tripartite partnership between Mukti, International Management Institute, Kolkata (IMIK), and Wheels Global Foundation India (WGF).
•Development of a comprehensive sustainability course offered in both certificate and diploma formats.
•A collaborative framework focusing on Sustainable Healthcare (Telemedicine), Nutrition & Women Empowerment, and Agriculture.
•An initiative to provide world-class management learning using on-ground insights and real-world case studies.

03. How the project is?

•Collaborative intent to enhance sustainable development through knowledge exchange, field visits, and grant applications.
•IMIK leads the course development, utilizing multilingual online and offline formats to ensure accessibility.
•Mukti provides essential on-ground insights and case studies from existing sustainability initiatives.
•WGF facilitates logistics, coordination, appropriate funding, and resource mobilization for the project.
•Implementation follows a “Way Forward” blueprint developed through intensive deliberations between all three parties.

04. Where the project is?

•Location: Primarily focused on the Sundarbans region of West Bengal, India.
•Institutional Context: Collaborative efforts involving the IMI Kolkata campus and the IIT alumni-run Wheels Global Foundation.
