As Cyclone Dana approaches the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal, thousands of vulnerable families face the immediate risk of losing their homes and livelihoods. With winds reaching 120 kmph, the potential devastation is immense.
Mukti is on the ground providing emergency shelters, food, clean water, and medical aid in Odisha, Medinipur & Sunderbans. We urgently need your support to sustain these efforts.
Cyclone Dana has already made landfall, causing widespread destruction in Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts. Roads are blocked, power outages are rampant. Purba Medinipur and South Bengal have been particularly hard hit, experiencing heavy rains and strong winds that have devastated agricultural lands. The extensive damage to paddy crops, a vital livelihood for local farmers, poses a serious threat to food security and the economic stability of the farming community.
The scale of destruction from Cyclone Dana is immense, and we urgently need your help to continue our relief efforts. Together, we can bring hope to those affected by this tragedy. Mukti's disaster response teams are ready with essential supplies, including food, water, and medical aid. Your support can help us expand these life-saving efforts.
Currently, we are assisting over 100,000 families in the Sundarbans, providing food, shelter, and vital support in response to disasters like the Chennai floods, and the floods in Sikkim and Kalimpong. Our experience in disaster relief dates back to Cyclone Aila and includes efforts following the Amphan, Yaas, and Remal cyclones.
