The Mukti Talented Student Sponsorship (TSS) team recently organized a special in-person meeting between Mr. Niladri Nath Bagchi and his newly selected group of five students at the Mukti City Office in Garia, Kolkata on May 20, 2023. This meeting was a wonderful opportunity for the students and their parents to personally meet and express their gratitude to Mr. Bagchi for his generous sponsorship.
Among the five students, Tandrika Gayen, Anwesha Bera, Sneha Sarkar, and Maitreyee Manna were present at the meeting, accompanied by their parents. These four students, hailing from different backgrounds and academic levels, were chosen by Mr. Bagchi to receive his support, alongside the seventeen other students he has been sponsoring this academic year from various categories.
Tandrika Gayen, currently studying in class XII in the Arts stream at GobindakathiSiksha Niketan, faces financial challenges due to her father’s occupation as a farmer. Her father finds it difficult to meet the expenses of her higher education and household needs. Tandrika aspires to become a WBCS officer and has found immense support from the Mukti TSS team and Mr. Bagchi’s sponsorship to pursue her dream.
Anwesha Bera, a Science student in class XII at Bodai High School, comes from a low-income household in Danga village. Despite her family’s financial constraints, her parents have always been incredibly supportive of her studies. Anwesha dreams of becoming a space scientist and is determined to crack the JEE. She is grateful to Mr. Bagchi for supporting her aspirations and helping her along the way.
Sneha Sarkar is currently in her first year of pursuing a BBA in Hospital Management at EIILM Kolkata. She resides with her parents in the south 24 Parganas district, and her father works as a security guard at AMRI Hospital. Despite their financial struggles, Sneha’s parents work tirelessly to ensure she can continue her studies. She applied for TSS sponsorship to pursue her education without any hindrances and was fortunate to be selected by Mr. Bagchi, receiving his generous support.
Maitreyee Manna recently appeared for her HS exams and is a Science student at BamanagarSubala High School. She resides in Pathar Pratima village with her parents and two siblings. Her mother works as an SHG member in Mukti, and her father is a farmer. The financial burden of raising three children made it challenging for Maitreyee’s parents to support her higher studies. However, with the support of Mukti and Mr. Bagchi’s sponsorship, Maitreyee can now pursue her dream of cracking NEET/B.Pharmacy.
During the meeting, the students had the opportunity to discuss various topics with Mr. Bagchi. They shared their future plans, including the obstacles they anticipate and potential remedies. Mr. Bagchi, in his wisdom, recommended that the students engage in social work alongside their studies, emphasizing the importance of contributing to society and civilization. The students expressed their agreement with his advice and shared their own thoughts and opinions.
To conclude the meeting, Mr. Bagchi was honored with desserts and a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude from the students. Mukti and the TSS team sincerely appreciate his sponsorship, which is playing a crucial role in helping these talented students fulfill their dreams and achieve academic success.
