Mukti successfully conducted a medical camp on Friday, 11th April 2025, in the village of Sonatikari, located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. This significant event was led by two distinguished alumni of Mukti’s Talented Students’ Sponsorship (TSS) program: Dr. Sanat Mondal (MBBS) from Gangadharbar Rural Hospital, Purba Medinipur, and Dr. Subhadeep Bhunia (MBBS) from Chittaranjan Seva Sadan, Kolkata.
The medical camp was a crucial step in engaging Mukti’s alumni in meaningful community service, providing them with an opportunity to give back to the people in need. The event was an important milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts to support not only the education of talented students but also their participation in community service initiatives.
A total of 60 local patients attended the camp, where they received free medical guidance and essential medicines. The smooth execution of the event was made possible thanks to the support of health program manager Ms. Sonamon Basu, who played a pivotal role in organizing the camp. Ms. Basu worked closely with Mukti’s health workers, the Swastha Shonginis, who helped coordinate the event and ensured that the patients were promptly seen by the doctors.
The camp served as an essential healthcare resource for the rural community, which often faces challenges in accessing medical services. Mukti’s TSS team is grateful to everyone involved in the event, especially Ms. Basu and the Swastha Shonginis, for their efforts in ensuring the camp’s success.
Mukti is committed to continuing its work in the region and looks forward to organizing similar outreach programs that foster alumni engagement and provide valuable services to underprivileged communities.
