MUKTI has successfully registered with the Social Stock Exchange (SSE), a platform specifically designed for Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to secure listings and raise capital. As the first organization in Bengal and the 11th organization in the nation to be registered on SSE, MUKTI is poised to gain enhanced visibility and credibility on a national scale.
MUKTI has been rewarded the “NGO Leadership Award” in the Eastern region by Times Ascent organized by World CSR Congress for Mukti’s contribution to sustainable growth and an impactful approach believing in a MAD approach (Making A Difference). The award ceremony was held on 8th September 2022 at Taj Bengal Kolkata.
Mukti and Krishnachnadrapur High School organized the “Sundarban Agriculture and Handicraft Fair 2023” from January 22nd to 26th at Vivekananda ground, under Mathurapur Block II of Sundarban. Around 1,500-2,000 people thronged the fairground every day. There were 14 stalls by Mukti, including 3 stalls of seeds, under the agriculture section. MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund) members had 8 stalls in the handicrafts section.
On 17th December 2022, Saturday, at 10 AM, the 17th Annual TSS event and award ceremony was held at the K. P. Basu auditorium of Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Participation of 160 people (91 students, 26 parents, 19 office staff, 8 field office staff, 5 board members, 7 TSS sponsors and 3 guests) made the event a grand success.
Mukti celebrated the third “Sankalpa Diwas” (Resolution Day), on New Year’s Day i.e. 1st January 2023, Sunday at Purba Sridharpur to call the people to rise against all negativity through the Awakening of Goodwill. More than 6,500 people including Mukti Volunteers, Staff, MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund) Members, Teachers of MSS (Mukti Support School) and Kishalaya Schools, SAM (Sustainable Agricultural Movement) participated..
We are delighted to announce that Mukti has been granted special consultative status by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations on December 7th, 2022, based on the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and accept the honor wholeheartedly.
Mukti celebrated its 19th Foundation Day on 5th March 2023 at Rajpur, Kolkata. The event was organized at Rabindra Bhaban with the participation of 600+people including Mukti volunteers, staff, teachers of MSS (Mukti Support School), Kishalaya School, MIT (Mukti Information Technology), SAM (Sustainable Agricultural Movement) farmers, MCD (Mukti Community Development Fund) members, local authorities, political personalities, social workers, Mukti partners and hundreds of well-wishers of Mukti.
Mukti has won the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Social Impact Award 2023 in two categories: one for the Cyclone Tolerant House in the Environment and another for the Swabalamban Accelerator in Sundarban (SWAS) project in Employment Enhancement. The ceremony was organized by ICC on March 16th, 2023 at Hotel Taj Bengal in Kolkata. This award is special as it acknowledges Mukti's exemplary work in the NGO sector and the effectiveness of the organization's activities in improving the lives of the people it serves at a national level.
