Mr. Pawan Agarwal Visits Mukti’s Model Village at Purba Sridharpur

In a heartening show of solidarity and support for grassroots development, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Director of NK Realtors, paid a visit to Purba Sridharpur — a model village developed by Mukti in the Sundarbans region of West Bengal on 4th and 5th April 2025. The visit was marked by interactions with local beneficiaries and an immersive tour of Mukti’s field-level initiatives focused on education, livelihood, environment, and health.

Shri Sankar Halder, Founder-President of Mukti, was present during the visit. He engaged in discussions with Mr. Pawan Agarwal, sharing insights into Mukti’s grassroots initiatives and the organization’s long-standing commitment to holistic rural development.

Mr. Pawan Agarwal witnessed firsthand the progress made through various community-driven programs, including mangrove and dragon fruit plantations — vital components of Mukti’s environmental and sustainable livelihood efforts. He also toured the Mukti Support Schools, which are providing crucial educational support to children in the remote village, and visited Mukto Dhara, a clean drinking water production unit that supplies safe water to the community.

One of the key highlights of the visit was Mr. Pawan Agarwal’s interaction with the women members of MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund). These Self-Help Group (SHG) women shared their journeys of empowerment and financial independence, made possible through Mukti’s microfinance and livelihood training initiatives.
