A virtual meeting was successfully organized by Team MUKTI on 17 January 2026 with the esteemed sponsor Mr. Dibyendu Baksi, PhD, along with the newly selected student supported under his sponsorship and members of the Mukti team. The meeting was conducted in a warm, cordial, and engaging environment, creating a meaningful space for interaction, connection, and mutual understanding between the sponsor and the student.
Mr. Dibyendu Baksi is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus and a distinguished technology leader in Aerospace Systems Design, currently based in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), where he has been residing for nearly three decades. He is deeply committed to supporting education in science and arts to help build a better future for the younger generation.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Kakali Bandyopadhyay, wife of Mr. Dibyendu Baksi, who actively participated in the interaction and shared some of the most beautiful and thoughtful guidance with the student. Her words focused on values, emotional strength, self-belief, and maintaining balance between academic excellence and personal well-being, which deeply inspired the student.
The sponsored student represented the science stream, reflecting the academic focus supported through Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Program.
The student, Rahul Shee, is currently pursuing B.Sc. in Critical Care Technology (1st Year) at NRS Medical College and Hospital. He shared his academic background, personal journey, aspirations, and future goals during the session.
The primary objective of the meeting was to formally introduce the student to the sponsor, provide an overview of the TSS Program, and strengthen the bond between all stakeholders. Mr. Dibyendu Baksi offered encouraging words and guidance, emphasizing discipline, perseverance, and value-based education. Team Mukti also briefed the sponsor about the program’s support structure, academic monitoring system, and follow-up mechanisms, reaffirming Mukti’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible sponsorship management.
During the discussion, the sponsor also expressed the need for quarterly virtual meetings with the supported student to closely follow academic progress, provide regular guidance, and maintain a strong mentor–student connection.
The session concluded on a positive and inspiring note, marked by mutual appreciation and a shared commitment towards the student’s holistic development and long-term educational journey. Overall, the meeting reflected Mukti’s dedication to nurturing strong sponsor–student relationships and building sustainable partnerships that empower talented students to achieve their full potential.
