Two-Day Intensive ECG Workshop Organized for EMT Students

A specialized two-day ECG (Electrocardiogram) workshop was recently organized at the “Mukti SURYA Centre” for the students of the second batch of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course. Held on February 25th and 27th, the primary objective of this workshop was to enhance the students’ theoretical and practical knowledge in managing cardiac emergencies and interpreting ECG reports.

Expert Training and Knowledge Sharing

The workshop was conducted by an expert ECG technician with over 10 years of experience, currently serving at a renowned healthcare facility. The instructor shared insights from his extensive professional career and discussed real-world clinical cases, making the sessions highly engaging and informative.

Key Highlights of the Workshop

The intensive two-day training covered several critical areas:

• Day One: Detailed discussions were held on the Anatomy and Physiology of the heart, the correct procedure for placing ECG leads, and the methods for identifying a normal ECG pattern.

• Day Two: This session was dedicated to hands-on training. Students learned how to record an ECG directly and analyze rhythm strips. Additionally, they were taught techniques to identify complex conditions such as Arrhythmia, Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack), and Heart Blocks.
