A two-day field visit was conducted on 30–31 December 2025 to review ongoing project activities supported by Mr. Arnab Chakraborty, who is extending his support to Purba Surendranagar MKSS in memory of his parents. The visit provided an opportunity to assess field-level progress and engage directly with communities benefiting from the initiatives.
The visit covered several key locations, including mangrove nursery and plantation sites, the Bishalakshi Temple Watch Tower, Mukti’s Two-Bigha Garden, Cremation Ghat, Dragon Fruit plantation, housing developed under Mukti’s Model Village initiative, and roadside plantation in the model village area. Coordination and review meetings were held at the Sabuj Kunj Office, enabling detailed discussions on project implementation and outcomes.
The team also visited the Kanakan Dighi Tarak Mandal fish enclosure, Aila embankments at Kanakan Dighi and Sarala, Jatar Deul, the Bio-Village Office, and Kanakan Dighi Natural Garden. These visits highlighted Mukti’s integrated approach to ecological restoration, disaster resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
A special interaction was organised at Purba Surendranagar MKSS, where Mr. Chakraborty met teachers and students. The children enthusiastically recited poems, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere. The donor appreciated the children’s confidence, enthusiasm, and the supportive learning environment. Similar interactions were also held at Damkal MSS, reflecting strong community participation and ownership.
Overall, the field visit underscored the meaningful impact of donor-supported initiatives across education, environmental conservation, disaster preparedness, and sustainable rural development. The visit reaffirmed Mukti’s commitment to transparent engagement, community-driven development, and long-term resilience in the Sundarban region.
