Mukti has successfully installed 15 biogas plants, each with a capacity of 2 cubic metres, at Mukti Bio-Village in Kankandighi, benefiting 15 model farmers. The installations were completed in December 2025, followed by a 15-day commissioning period, after which all units became fully operational for clean and sustainable cooking use.
Each biogas plant converts household and farm-based organic waste into renewable energy, helping each beneficiary reduce an estimated 300–350 kg of methane emissions annually, equivalent to nearly 8 tonnes of CO₂. Beyond emission reduction, the initiative contributes to safer kitchens, reduced dependence on conventional fuels, and improved household health.
This intervention promotes community-led renewable energy solutions while supporting climate-resilient livelihoods at the grassroots level. The initiative has been made possible with the support of Srijan Realty Pvt Ltd, whose contribution has strengthened local climate action efforts.
Through such initiatives, Mukti continues to advance clean energy adoption, environmental responsibility, and sustainable rural development.
