TSS Begins Interview Process for 2026–27 Scholarship Applicants
MUKTI’s Talented Students Scholarship Programme (TSS) has begun the interview process for newly applied candidates for the 2026–27 academic year, marking an important stage in the selection of deserving students for scholarship support.
As part of the ongoing process, 60 MBBS aspirants from different districts and educational institutions across West Bengal were interviewed on 15 and 16 September 2026. The interviews are being conducted category-wise to ensure a structured and focused assessment of each applicant.
The sessions are being held at the MUKTI Garia Office, with 30 students interviewed each day in three separate slots. The interview panel includes members of the TSS Team, Cluster Heads, TSS alumni and staff, bringing together varied perspectives and experience to the selection process.
The interviews are designed to understand students beyond the information provided in their applications. Through direct interaction, the panel seeks to learn more about their academic background, financial circumstances, educational aspirations, confidence, communication skills and overall approach towards their future.
The interaction also gives students an opportunity to understand MUKTI and the TSS Programme more closely, including its values, objectives and emphasis on social responsibility. Students are encouraged to view scholarship support not only as financial assistance, but also as an opportunity to grow into responsible and socially conscious individuals.
The category-wise interview process will continue for other applicants in the coming days. After all interviews are completed, candidates will be reviewed on the basis of academic merit, financial need, interview performance and programme requirements before the final selection is made.
Through this process, TSS aims not only to identify students who need and deserve support, but also to build an early connection with them and encourage them to pursue their aspirations with confidence, responsibility and a commitment to giving back to society.
