On 13th September 2025, Mukti Kishalay Support Schools (MKSS) in the Kultali cluster successfully completed a Teachers’ Training and Assessment programme focused on Second Language and Numeracy. The session brought together 50 teachers dedicated to strengthening the quality of education for children in rural and underserved areas.
The training was led by Mr. Subrata Naskar and Mr. Shubha Jana, who introduced well-planned pedagogical methods and modern teaching practices. Coordination support was managed by Mr. Bishnu Mondal, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience for all participants.
Teachers were guided through innovative techniques for teaching fundamental mathematical operations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—by using charts and natural objects. These approaches are designed to help children understand concepts logically and intuitively, even without depending on textbooks.
Beyond numeracy, the session highlighted critical elements of holistic education, such as critical thinking, peer learning, creativity, leadership, problem-solving, social responsibility, and mental well-being. Group activities encouraged collaboration and the sharing of new teaching strategies, reinforcing the idea that learning must be interactive and participatory.
By adopting these methods, teachers will continue to scaffold their students’ growth, enabling them to “learn by doing.” This initiative ensures that even children in the most rural and backward areas have the opportunity to thrive and showcase their abilities.
Mukti remains committed to equipping educators with the tools they need to inspire curiosity and confidence in every child, laying the foundation for a brighter and more equitable future.
