Strengthening Sponsor–Student Bonds Through Meaningful Interactions

Continuing its commitment to building meaningful relationships between sponsors and students, Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Programme organised two virtual Sponsor–Student Meetings on 15 July and 22 July 2026. These interactions were designed to create opportunities for direct communication, mentorship, and mutual encouragement, reinforcing the belief that a sponsor is not only a financial supporter but also a mentor and guiding force in a student’s journey.

The first interaction brought together Mr. Asim Das, a long-time supporter from Mukti Australia, and his sponsored student Sudip Bara. Associated with Mukti since 2015, Mr. Das has consistently supported deserving students through the TSS Programme. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, he began his career with Indian Airlines before moving to Sydney, Australia, where he currently works as a Data Analyst with an Australian bank.

Sudip, a fifth-year B.E. Electrical Engineering student at Jadavpur University, shared his academic journey and aspirations. Coming from a farming family in Kumargram, Alipurduar, he spoke about his determination to secure a good job, pursue higher studies, and support his family despite financial challenges. Drawing from his own professional experience, Mr. Das encouraged Sudip to remain focused, work with sincerity, and remember that true success lies not only in career achievements but also in becoming a responsible and compassionate individual. He also expressed his wish to visit the Mukti office and meet the students personally during his next visit to India.

The second meeting connected Ms. Prarthana Dutta, an IT professional based in Sydney, Australia, with her sponsored student Payel Khamaru. Associated with Mukti since 2025, Ms. Dutta completed her Bachelor of Technology and began her career in Bengaluru before relocating to Australia in 2018, where she is currently employed with an Australian bank.

Payel, a second-year B.Sc. (Honours) Zoology student at Raidighi College, introduced herself and spoke about her ambition to become a teacher while also learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) to broaden her career opportunities. She shared her dream of becoming financially independent and supporting her family. Ms. Dutta encouraged her to remain dedicated to her studies and reminded her that success is measured not only by professional accomplishments but also by compassion, integrity, humility, and a commitment to contributing positively to society.

Both interactions concluded on a warm and inspiring note, with sponsors and students expressing their happiness at getting to know one another and looking forward to maintaining regular communication in the future.

Through such initiatives, Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Programme continues to go beyond financial assistance by nurturing lasting relationships based on mentorship, guidance, and encouragement. These meaningful connections provide students with the confidence, motivation, and support they need to pursue their educational aspirations and build a brighter future.
