Solar-Powered Prosperity: PFC and Mukti Join Forces for Sustainable Farming

On 22 December 2023, a significant collaboration was formalized between Mukti and Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) as they signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the city office in Kolkata.

Under the CSR initiative of PFC, the MoA solidifies a commitment to bring about positive change by facilitating the supply and commissioning of 20 Solar Photovoltaic (PV) powered pumping structures. These structures are set to be strategically placed in Purba and Paschim Medinipur Districts in West Bengal.

The ceremonial signing of the MoA was graced by the presence of Shri Bhaskar Bhattacharya, an Independent Director at PFC. The agreement heralds a new era of sustainable development and environmental consciousness, aligning with the broader goals of CSR.

These innovative pumping structures boast a 5 HP motor capacity, accompanied by a 2000-liter water tank and a borewell designed for irrigation purposes. Positioned strategically, these structures aim to directly benefit the farmers of Purba Medinipur (specifically in Block – Egra and Sahara) and Paschim Medinipur (encompassing Blocks Datan – I, Datan – II, Keshiary, and Narayangarh).
