Under the Swavalamban Accelerator in Sundarbans (SWAS 2.0) initiative—supported by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Mukti concluded a 10‑day advanced soft-toy-making training from 18th to 27th July 2025 at Lakshminarayanpur. The programme offers market-ready skills aligned with Mukti’s goal of promoting sustainable rural livelihoods.
A total of 30 women from local Self‑Help Group networks participated in the batch, where trained resource persons guided them through specialized techniques in designing, stitching, finishing, and quality control for commercial soft toys.
This advanced training is part of a broader series under SWAS 2.0, which includes vocational modules in food processing, Shola set making, imitation jewellery, and soft-toy production—aimed at accelerating women’s entrepreneurship through hands-on, enterprise-focused learning.
The participants expressed enthusiasm about using the skills to generate income, enhance economic autonomy, and explore local market opportunities.
Swavalamban Accelerator in Sundarbans 2.0 reflects Mukti’s commitment to building resilient rural women leaders and creating pathways for gender-inclusive economic transformation.
