Shaping Child-Centric Classrooms – Teacher Development at MKSS Canning Cluster

Mukti is delighted to share that a Teacher Training session for Mukti Kishalaya Support Schools (MKSSs) was successfully organized on 31st August 2025 at the Mukti MSS Site Office, Canning Circle, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The programme brought together 16 teachers and 3 coordinators, with the session conducted by Shri Subrata Naskar and facilitated by Shri Monojit Mondol.
The training centred on making learning more joyful and child-focused, with emphasis on child psychology. Teachers explored modern methods to simplify lessons and keep them engaging, experimented with creative uses of Teaching Learning Materials (TLM), and discussed innovative classroom practices. They also took part in brainstorming activities designed to shape an attractive and effective curriculum.
To strengthen learning outcomes, an assessment was conducted to evaluate the participants’ understanding and skills. This exercise provided teachers with an opportunity to reflect on the key concepts and demonstrate their practical application.
The initiative is expected to boost teachers’ confidence and encourage them to adopt innovative strategies in their classrooms. By nurturing creative teaching practices, Mukti aims to enrich the learning experience of MKSS children and ensure that education remains engaging, meaningful, and child-centric.
