A two-day evaluation of the Shahoshini team was conducted on 12–13 August 2026 at the Raidighi Office and field locations, facilitated by the Swayam Team and MUKTI Core Team. The evaluation provided an opportunity to understand the journey, roles, experiences, achievements, challenges, and future aspirations of Shahoshini members and groups.
On 12 August, the evaluation session was held at the Raidighi Office with 22 Shahoshini members. The session began with an introduction and self-reflection activity, encouraging members to identify similarities between themselves and elements of nature or everyday objects. The participants were then divided into five groups to discuss the identity of the Shahoshini team, how the team functions, and the roles and responsibilities of its members. Through group discussions and presentations, members shared their understanding, experiences, and perspectives on their collective journey.
During the post-lunch session, the groups reflected on their responsibilities as Shahoshini leaders, important moments in their journey, experiences that strengthened their confidence, and the changes they had observed in themselves after becoming part of the Shahoshini team. They also discussed changes experienced within their workplaces and communities. Members actively participated in the discussions and shared experiences that highlighted their personal growth and development.
On 13 August, the Swayam Team, along with the MUKTI Core Team, visited the field and interacted with two Shahoshini groups. Members shared the journey of their respective groups from their formation to the present day, reflecting on major achievements, challenges, changes within the groups, and their aspirations for the future. The discussions also focused on how the groups could be further strengthened and how members could continue to build on their collective efforts.
The two-day evaluation created a valuable space for reflection, dialogue, and collective learning. It provided important insights into the growth and development of Shahoshini members and groups, their achievements and challenges, the confidence they have gained, and their aspirations for the future. The process also helped members reflect on their collective journey and identify areas that can be strengthened to further advance the Shahoshini initiative.
