
On 19th July 2025, Mukti’s CHILD team hosted a seminar titled “Child Safeguarding and Greater Access to Child-Safe Services” at Middleton Chambers, Kolkata. The event brought together government officials, academic experts, and frontline child protection practitioners for a day of learning, dialogue, and collaborative planning.
Distinguished guests included representatives from the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta. Mukti’s leadership team, programme staff, and field-level workers also actively participated.
The seminar was inaugurated with a welcome address by Shri Sankar Haldar, Founder-President of Mukti, who emphasized the importance of building a collective ecosystem that safeguards children and ensures access to protection services.
