Selima Begam was born into a nuclear family. Her mother is a homemaker, while her father works as a farmer. Selima has two younger sisters, one of whom is currently studying in Class 11, and the other aspires to become a NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) candidate. Selima herself had pursued the dream of becoming a NEET aspirant and achieved remarkable success by securing admission to one of Kolkata’s most prestigious medical colleges, Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital.
Supporting the educational expenses of all three children had been a challenging task for their parents, and with each passing day, the struggle grew harder. In 2022, Selima found herself in her first year of pursuing an MBBS degree at NRS Medical College. Realizing the need for financial assistance, she sought guidance from some of her seniors who had benefited from Mukti’s TSS Program. Upon contacting Mukti and expressing her situation, Selima qualified for sponsorship through the TSS interview process. Sohini Mehta, her sponsor, graciously offered to provide the necessary funds for the duration of her course.
Selima expresses deep gratitude towards her sponsor for being a constant source of motivation and inspiration. She appreciates the unwavering support, the shared concerns, and the reassurance and encouragement she received. Mukti’s TSS program not only provided her with financial aid but also introduced her to a network of influential and compassionate individuals who have greatly influenced her journey. With Mukti’s support, Selima successfully completed her final year of MBBS and is currently serving as an intern at her college. She has become financially independent and is now focused on supporting her family’s financial needs as well.
We extend our best wishes to Selima as she embarks on her future endeavors, with the confidence that she will achieve her dreams. Mukti will always stand by her side, ready to offer support and motivation every step of the way.
