Seeds of Change: Hargopal Dutta’s Journey as a Scientist

Mukti joyfully announces the remarkable achievement of Hargopal Dutta, an alumnus of Talented Student Sponsorship (TSS), as he embarks on a groundbreaking journey as a scientist at the esteemed Central TASAR Research and Training Institute in Ranchi. His selection by the Central Silk Board, following his stellar performance in the ICAR SRF examination, promises the beginning of an illustrious career.

Hargopal’s achievements came about with the committed support of Mr. Ramesh Kacholia from 2016 to 2022. After completion of his BSc with Honors in Agriculture from Bidhanchandra Agricultural University in 2020, Hargopal completed his Masters in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, in 2022.

Hailing from Kishorimohanpur village in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, Hargopal’s family consisted of his parents and younger sister. His father is a farmer who is also involved in a fish business.Despite financial constraints, his relentless passion for higher education propelled him to seek sponsorship from Mukti. Mr. Kacholia’s discernment and support led to Hargopal being chosen for sponsorship.

Now that his aspirations to become a horticulturist have been realized, he dreams of assisting farmers with advanced cultivation techniques and superior seed varieties. Mukti extends sincere congratulations and best wishes to Hargopal for his future endeavors, and profound gratitude to Mr. Kacholia for his steadfast support.
