River embankments play a vital role in protecting the delicate and unique bio-diversity of the Sundarbans ecosystem. As the latest addition to Mukti’s multi-layered approach towards the conservation of these embankments,4,000 to 5,000 Geoya saplings were planted along a 1.5-kilometer stretch of the riverside slope of the embankment from the Mukti library to the ration shop at Mukti Gram, Purba Sridharpur. These saplings were nurtured and propagated using the grafting method at Mukti Nursery, ensuring their vitality and resilience.
