Mukti’s Medical Camp at Kamarpota

In a continued effort to deliver accessible and affordable healthcare services to underserved rural communities, Mukti successfully organized a General Medical Camp on 15th May 2025 at Kamarpota village under the Mathurapur II Block. The initiative was undertaken as part of Mukti’s ongoing health outreach programs with active support from Bhagirathi Neotia and Kolkata Foundation.

The camp aimed to provide essential health services to residents who have limited access to routine medical care. A total of 87 beneficiaries availed themselves of the free services provided during the four-hour-long camp, which included general health check-ups, basic diagnostic screening, distribution of essential medicines, and health counselling sessions.

Key Highlights of the Camp:

• General Health Check-ups were conducted by a professional medical team from Calcutta National Medical College (CNMC).
• Basic diagnostic tests such as blood pressure and weight monitoring were carried out.
• Free medicines were distributed based on the doctors’ prescriptions.
• Medical counselling and health awareness guidance were provided to patients.
• Referral Services: One patient requiring advanced care was referred to Bhagirathi Neotia for further treatment.

While the camp focused on general health, it also laid the groundwork for building stronger health-seeking behaviour within the community. The initiative exemplifies Mukti’s commitment to community-led development and health equity in rural Bengal.
