“When we teach children to care for nature, we are teaching them to care for the future.”
Mukti Urban Project is celebrating World Environment Day with children, youth, and mothers from the Empowerment Project, Mukti Support School (MSS), and Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS). The celebrations are being organized across various Service Delivery Points (SDPs), including government schools, local clubs, and project offices.
Through drawing competitions, awareness discussions, interactive sessions, and creative activities using waste materials, participants are learning about the importance of environmental conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable living. Special emphasis is being placed on the 3R Principle—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, helping participants understand how small daily actions can significantly reduce environmental impact.
Children and youth are enthusiastically showcasing their creativity by transforming discarded materials into useful and decorative products, demonstrating the practical application of the 3R concept.
Teachers are playing a key role in facilitating the activities and helping participants understand environmental issues, while mothers are actively supporting and encouraging the children, reinforcing eco-friendly practices at home.
The celebration is inspiring participants to adopt responsible environmental habits and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
