On 30 June 2026, Liyo, a valued donor from Mukti Switzerland, visited the Mukti Urban Project to gain first-hand insights into the programme’s ongoing activities and its impact on the community. The visit provided an opportunity to interact with the project team, observe field-level implementation, and engage with beneficiaries.
The visit began with a discussion between Liyo and the Mukti Urban Project team, during which they shared an overview of the project’s progress, key initiatives, achievements, and future plans. The interaction offered a platform to exchange ideas and reflect on the project’s continued efforts to improve educational and livelihood opportunities for children and women in the urban community.
As part of the field visit, Liyo visited several Mukti Support School (MKSS) learning centres, including the classes at Imtiyaz Club, Singhee Bagan School, Runner Club, and 5 Star Club. During these visits, Liyo observed the classroom environment, interacted with students and facilitators, and learned about the teaching methods adopted to support children’s education and overall development.
The visit also included the Tailoring Training Centre, where Liyo met the trainees and facilitators. The interaction provided valuable insights into how skill development initiatives are helping women enhance their livelihoods, build confidence, and move towards greater economic independence.
The visit concluded with a feedback session, during which Liyo appreciated the dedication of the Mukti team and the positive impact of the Urban Project. The interaction reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities for education, skill development, and community empowerment.
Mukti expresses its sincere gratitude to Liyo and Mukti Switzerland for their continued support and encouragement. Such visits strengthen partnerships, promote knowledge sharing, and inspire collective efforts towards building more inclusive and resilient communities.
