About 1 km of brick road in Purbat Sridharpur Purba Para has been damaged due to heavy rains. Local people have been facing difficulty in traveling and vehicle movements are restricted. Minor accidents have been occurring frequently.
Observing the difficulties, members of Mukti’s Purba Para Youth Committee appealed to Mukti to repair the roads. Whereas Mukti organized the supply of 6 hydraulic vans filled with rubble to repair the road, people chipped in by donating their labor. Villagers are completely in charge of the maintenance and repair work – to fix broken corners and holes they mix brick sand with mud and fill the gaps.
Mukti has provided food support to the villagers who are working on repairing the roads.
