MUKTI Participates in ACV Learning Lab Workshop in New Delhi

MUKTI participated in the ACV Learning Lab Workshop, a three-day national learning and reflection programme organised by Action for Community Voices (ACV) in New Delhi from 20–22 July 2026. A six-member delegation from MUKTI represented the organisation, joining partner organisations, community representatives, and resource persons from across the country to exchange experiences, reflect on collective achievements, and chart the way forward for the ACV initiative.

The workshop provided a valuable platform to review the journey of the Action for Community Voices (ACV) initiative over the past six years. Through a series of interactive discussions, poster presentations, group exercises, and collaborative learning sessions, participants reflected on the programme’s achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and the key factors that have contributed to community-led change across diverse geographical and social contexts. The sessions encouraged organisations to share field experiences, learn from one another, and identify best practices that can strengthen future interventions.

A major focus of the workshop was collaborative planning for the next phase of the ACV initiative. Participants engaged in discussions on future priorities, strategies for strengthening community leadership, enhancing local ownership, and developing more sustainable and inclusive approaches to community development. The workshop emphasized the importance of empowering communities to take the lead in addressing local challenges while fostering stronger partnerships among civil society organisations, government institutions, and community stakeholders.

During the workshop, MUKTI shared its experiences of implementing community-based initiatives in the Sundarbans, highlighting the role of community participation, local leadership, collective action, and grassroots engagement in creating sustainable social change. The organisation showcased its efforts in promoting community empowerment, gender equality, climate resilience, child protection, and inclusive development through participatory approaches that place communities at the centre of decision-making.

The Learning Lab also provided an opportunity for meaningful networking and knowledge exchange with organisations working in different parts of the country. The insights gained from the discussions, practical exercises, and shared experiences will further strengthen MUKTI’s ongoing programmes and contribute to the design of more responsive, community-driven interventions in the future.

MUKTI’s participation in the ACV Learning Lab Workshop reaffirmed its commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation in community development. By engaging with diverse stakeholders and contributing its grassroots experiences, the organisation continues to strengthen its efforts towards building resilient, inclusive, and empowered communities.
