Mukti organized a School and Community Engagement Programme on 23 December 2025 at Mukti–MSS School, Jharmatiali BFP, under Lataguri VII Gram Samsad, Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal, with the objective of promoting holistic child development and strengthening community participation in education.
The day-long programme, held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Mr. Subrata Adhikari, in the presence of Mr. Pabitra Kumar Roy, Mr. Tapas, and other influential members of the village, who extended their support and encouragement to the initiative. Teachers from MSS and MKSS schools, along with educators from a nearby government school, participated actively in the programme and motivated students throughout the day. The presence of parents and guardians further reflected strong community involvement and collective ownership of children’s education.
The event opened with a spirited rendition of Nazrul Geeti, “Chol Chol Chol, Urdho Gagone Baje Madol,” setting an enthusiastic tone for the day. This was followed by a range of cultural, sports, and learning activities, including group dance performances, athletics events such as high jump, long jump, and the 100-metre race, kabaddi matches, an art competition, and a quiz competition. Children had been preparing for the programme for several days, which was evident in their confident participation, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
To encourage and motivate the students, prizes were distributed to participants, and refreshments including snacks and tea were arranged for children and attendees. The programme was smoothly coordinated by the Mukti team, ensuring inclusive participation and a supportive environment for all.
The School and Community Engagement Programme successfully brought together schools, families, and community members, contributing to children’s motivation, psychosocial well-being, and the strengthening of school–community relationships. Through such initiatives, Mukti continues to foster child-friendly learning environments and community-driven support systems for education.
