As Kolkata stirred awake on the morning of 13 December 2025, Rabindra Sarobar became the starting point of a movement rooted in health, community, and conscious food choices. At 6:30 AM, 30 enthusiastic runners gathered alongside Mukti’s Run Ambassador, Akash Bahadur, to take part in the first activation run for Mukti’s Run for Safe Food 2026.
The early-morning run marked the formal beginning of Mukti’s outreach for the upcoming Run for Safe Food initiative. With shared energy and a clear sense of purpose, participants came together not merely to run, but to reaffirm a collective commitment to promoting organic, toxin-free, and safe food for all.
Akash Bahadur’s presence added momentum to the activation, inspiring runners to view fitness as closely linked with responsible food systems and public health. Conversations during and after the run reflected a growing awareness of how everyday choices—what we eat, how food is produced, and how communities are informed—shape long-term wellbeing.
This first activation run symbolised more than preparation for a larger event; it set the tone for a journey that connects physical health with environmental sustainability and food safety. As Mukti moves towards Run for Safe Food 2026, similar community engagements will continue to build awareness, encourage participation, and strengthen collective action around safe and sustainable food practices.
The morning at Rabindra Sarobar ended with renewed enthusiasm, reminding everyone present that meaningful change often begins with a simple step—taken together.
