Mukti Holds Handicrafts Stalls at Ganga Sagar Fair 2023
Every year The Ganga Sagar Mela is celebrated on the pious day of Makar Sankranti at Sagardwip, Sagar Block of South 24 Parganas district. This year the Mela/ Fair started on 10th January and will continue till 17th January 2023. This year for the first time Mukti launched a handicraft stall at the “Sagar Panchayat Samiti” area of Ganga Sagar fairground.
Handicrafts – soft toys, petticoats and pickles, jam, jelly bottles made by members of Mukti MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund) Deulbari, Purno Chandrapur, Herombogopalpur, Raidighi, Krishnachandrapur, Lakshminarayanpur, Baikunthopur, Kankandighi, Purba Sridharpur Branch are being displayed and kept for sale at this stall. The stall is being operated by Ms. Bharati Hazra and Ms. Monica Halder. Every day the stall operates from 7 am to 11 pm.l
