To fight against the hunger of the Yaas-affected victims of Sundarban, Purba and Paschim Medinipur Mukti to date has supported 3750 families with ration kits. The endeavor of providing relief to distressed people that Mukti started in May 2021 is still running. Beyond Sundarban, Tamluk, Kolaghat, Sutahata, Sahid Matangini, Tamluk 18No ward, Haldia Municipality, Khejuri, Contai, Ramnagar , Nandigram I, II, Nandakumarpur blocks of Purba Medinipur and Sribora I, Pingla, Sabang, Mahishadal of Paschim Medinipur Mukti now has reached the remotest tribal areas of Jhargram.
To accomplish this noble task we have received “Kolkata Gives” and “ASFHM” (Advanced Society for Headmaster and Headmistress) as our collaborators and we express our gratitude to them. With their help, we have been able to satisfy the hunger of thousands of destitute people.
Biswapada Patra, one of the Yaas victims and beneficiaries said “I liked the service very much. I am thankful to Mukti. For you, people like us are receiving support from the very time after the cyclone and also at the crucial time of Covid-19. You have also organized a medical camp for us. I want you to always be by our side.”
