Mukti conducted two day-long teachers’ training sessions for Support School (MSS) teachers to strengthen child safeguarding awareness and enhance classroom teaching practices.
The first training was held at Egra Shipur on 3rd January, 2026 for the East and West Midnapore cluster, with participation from teachers of 8 MSS. The session recorded a strong 95% attendance, reflecting high engagement and commitment from the teachers.
The second training was conducted on 4th January, 2026 at Manikpara, Jhargram, attended by teachers from 5 MSS in Jhargram district. This session achieved 100% attendance, indicating excellent participation.
On both days, Ms Monami Mitra (HR & Admin) oriented the teachers on Mukti’s Child Safeguarding Policy, ensuring clarity on identitying risks for child protection responsibilities and organizational protocols. Ms Ananya Chatterjee (Senior Programme Manager) facilitated training on literature and language teaching techniques, along with effective classroom management strategies that promote inclusive participation of students with diverse learning needs.
The sessions were designed to be participatory and interactive, encouraging discussion, practical sharing, and active involvement of teachers. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the training and collectively requested more frequent training sessions at regular intervals on varied teaching subjects, highlighting their enthusiasm and perceived value of the programme.
Overall, the training successfully met its objectives of capacity building, policy awareness, and pedagogical enhancement among Mukti Support School teachers.
