Nalua, 24 July 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to ensuring quality healthcare reaches underserved communities, Mukti, in collaboration with Bhagirathi Neotia, organized a free medical camp at Nalua, benefiting 160 patients despite challenging weather conditions. The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the local community, reflecting the growing need for accessible and affordable healthcare services in remote areas.
A dedicated team of three specialist doctors provided consultations to patients of different age groups, offering medical advice, health assessments, and guidance on appropriate treatment. Despite persistent bad weather, community members turned out in large numbers to avail themselves of the opportunity to receive expert medical care close to their homes. The enthusiastic participation demonstrated both the trust the community places in such initiatives and the pressing demand for regular healthcare services in the region.
One of the most significant outcomes of the camp was the identification of several critically ill children who require advanced medical intervention. These children will now undergo further medical assessment to determine their eligibility for free life-saving surgeries through the support extended by Bhagirathi Neotia. This initiative builds upon the ongoing collaboration between Mukti and Bhagirathi Neotia, through which 15 children have already received life-saving surgical support, transforming their lives and offering renewed hope to their families.
Throughout the programme, patients and community members expressed their appreciation for the initiative and requested that similar medical camps be organized more frequently. Their feedback underscored the importance of bringing specialist healthcare services closer to communities that often face barriers in accessing timely medical treatment due to geographical, financial, or logistical challenges.
Mukti remains committed to strengthening community health through preventive care, early diagnosis, timely referrals, and partnerships with leading healthcare institutions. Collaborative initiatives such as this medical camp not only improve access to essential healthcare services but also ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the specialized treatment they need without undue financial burden.
Mukti extends its heartfelt gratitude to Bhagirathi Neotia for its continued partnership and unwavering support in making quality healthcare accessible to underserved communities. The organisation also acknowledges the dedicated efforts of the medical team, Mukti’s health workers, local volunteers, and the enthusiastic women from the community, whose commitment and cooperation played a vital role in the successful implementation of the camp.
Through such collaborative efforts, Mukti continues to work towards building healthier, more resilient communities where every individual has the opportunity to access timely and quality healthcare.
