On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, students from Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS) and Mukti Support School (MSS) enthusiastically participated in a wide range of practical, enjoyable, and community-focused environmental activities. Guided by specially prepared Environment Day handbooks, the observance aimed to encourage environmental awareness through simple, participatory, and zero-cost initiatives involving maximum student engagement.
On 5th June, students actively took part in school and classroom cleanliness drives, plastic-free campus campaigns, water conservation observation activities, tree care and plant protection initiatives, preparation of bird feeders using locally available materials, and the creation of organic compost pits to promote sustainable waste management practices.
Through these hands-on activities, students learned the importance of protecting natural resources while developing a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings. The programme also encouraged teamwork, creativity, and community participation, helping students understand that small individual actions can collectively create a positive environmental impact.
The celebration reflected the shared commitment of MKSS and MSS towards experiential learning, environmental education, and nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious young citizens who can contribute to building a greener and more sustainable future.
