As part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainable agricultural practices among the younger generation, Mukti’s Agriculture Team conducted an interactive learning session on Organic Farming on 25th May 2026 at Uttar Kankandighi MSS. The programme brought together students from Classes VII to X, with active participation from both Uttar Kankandighi MSS and Jogendrapur MSS.
Around 70 students attended the session and enthusiastically participated in discussions on the importance of organic farming and its benefits for human health, agriculture, and the environment. The session introduced students to the basic principles of organic cultivation, highlighting how food can be grown without excessive dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
The Agriculture Team explained the harmful effects of indiscriminate chemical use on soil fertility, water resources, biodiversity, and human health. Students were encouraged to understand the value of protecting nature while ensuring safe and nutritious food production. Discussions also focused on the importance of healthy soil, natural pest management methods, compost preparation, and environmentally friendly farming practices that can be adopted at the household and community levels.
The interactive nature of the session allowed students to ask questions, share their observations, and relate the discussions to agricultural activities taking place within their own families and villages. Many students showed a keen interest in learning more about sustainable farming and expressed their enthusiasm for participating in similar classes on a regular basis.
Beyond agricultural knowledge, the session aimed to nurture a sense of environmental responsibility among students and encourage them to become ambassadors of sustainable practices within their homes and communities. By introducing young learners to concepts such as organic farming, soil conservation, and ecological balance, the initiative seeks to inspire future generations to make informed and environmentally conscious choices.
The programme reflects Mukti’s continued commitment to strengthening environmental awareness and promoting sustainable rural development through education, community engagement, and practical learning opportunities for children and youth.
