To improve the quality of education and to support the needy students Mukti Support School (MSS) stepped its first feet at Sarbaria under Jaynagar I Block on 28th January. The program was organised by H.N.S Anath Ashram (Orphan House).
The program stared at 12:00 with the participation of 70 people. From Mukti’s end Mr. Raghunath Bairagi, Mr. Bimal Khan, Mr. Madhusudhan Bairagi and one of the MSS teachers attended the program. 2 members of H.N.S Anath Ashram were also there.
MSS teacher along with other volunteers made them understand the purpose of MSS. MSS aimed to attract more students to school and also help in reducing school dropouts. Students from class V to X can avail tuition on any subject with a very minimal cost. They will be also supported with books and necessary educational equipments. Mukti arranges sponsorship for the talented students. Throughout Sunderban, 24 MSS are actively working with approximately 1,500 current students.
They were overwhelmed by the activities of MSS and showed their interest to join MSS. Till date 20 students enrolled their names from class V to X.
Mukti is hopeful that from February MSS will be able to start classes.
