When the date 15th August comes, our hearts fill with excitement and joy, because this was the day when our country got its freedom back. On this day of excitement and happiness, Mukti to cherish some special bond and contentment with the underprivileged people organized a relief distribution program at Ramchandrapur, one of the remotest villages in Jhargram district of West Bengal.
To make this novel venture a success Mukti with ASFHM (Advanced Society of Headmaster and Headmistress) on the occasion of 75th Independence Day invited 30 underprivileged indigenous (Adibasi) families at Sri Sri Ramakrishna Higher Secondary School of Ramchandrapur village under Kharbandhi GP, Gopiballavpur II Block, Jhargram to join the celebration so that they can enjoy this day of independence with happiness and can get some knowledge about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
Early morning Headmaster of the school Mr. Tapan Kumar Dey with 20 other people including teachers, staff and some parents reached the school premises. Due to the pandemic, the students’ presence was restricted.
In the first part of the ceremony, Mr. Dey hosted the national flag and paid tribute to the freedom fighters by putting a garland on the picture of Mahatma Gandhi. Everyone present at the event sang the national anthem. Mr. Dey inspired everyone through his speeches.
In the second part of the ceremony, 30 needy families were supported with lentils (500 grams), soybean (500 grams), salt (1 Kg), 1 packet of biscuits and masks.
Their valuable presence and smile made the occasion more live. In return, Mukti received the invaluable joy of serving. This day will shine in everyone’s mind for a long time.
