Mukti, in collaboration with Kolkata Foundation, organised a Health and Hygiene Awareness Camp at Nalua on 19th August 2025, reaching out to 41 rural women. The session was facilitated by two qualified B.Sc. nurses, both proud alumni of Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) programme. Their voluntary service at the awareness session was completely free of cost and indeed it was a beautiful example of the spirit of gratitude and social responsibility.
The camp focused on menstrual health, cancer awareness, women’s hygiene, water and sanitation, and nutrition, highlighting simple practices that can significantly improve daily life.
Key learnings included:
The camp created a space where rural women could openly discuss their health concerns and learn practical solutions. By equipping them with awareness and knowledge, Mukti and Kolkata Foundation aim to foster healthier families and stronger communities in the Sundarbans.
