Mukti SURYA organised a Career Counselling Programme at Raidighi College with the objective of creating awareness among students about career opportunities, skill development and employment-oriented vocational education. The programme provided students with an opportunity to explore career pathways and understand the importance of developing practical skills alongside formal academic qualifications.
Around 250 students actively participated in the session. Discussions focused on the growing importance of practical and industry-relevant skills in today’s employment landscape. Students were encouraged to look beyond traditional academic pathways and explore vocational education as a means of developing employable skills, pursuing career opportunities and creating avenues for entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
A key focus of the programme was the upcoming Tally GST and Electrical skill development courses, scheduled to commence from the second week of September. Students were introduced to the nature and relevance of these courses and how acquiring specialised, job-oriented skills can strengthen their employability and prepare them for opportunities in the evolving job market.
Mr. Paritosh Bar, representing the Admission Cell of Raidighi College, was present during the programme and extended his support and cooperation towards the initiative.
The programme received an encouraging response from the students and served as a valuable platform for promoting informed career choices, vocational education and skill-based opportunities among young learners. Through such initiatives, Mukti SURYA continues to support rural youth in building the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful livelihoods and a more secure future.
