On April 12th, 2024, Mukti and “Fortess,” a non-profit society founded by former TCSers, came together for an open floor discussion and networking conclave. This gathering served as the launchpad for their two groundbreaking projects – “Udan” and “Smart Lab” – held at Ecohub, situated within the Ecospace Business Park in Rajarhat, New Town, Kolkata. The event drew nearly 100 former TCSers from Kolkata, promoting a vibrant atmosphere of collaboration and innovation.
Fortess, extending its reach across PAN India, has embarked on impactful initiatives beyond West Bengal, while partnering with Mukti to catalyze change within the state. Under the banner of “Udan,” Fortess pledges to support underprivileged students in accessing higher education and training programs at subsidized rates. Meanwhile, Mukti will spearhead the implementation of computer learning facilities for disadvantaged students at Krishnachandrapur High School, situated in the South 24 Parganas district, under the “Smart Lab” project.
Commencing at 7:00 pm, the event witnessed the esteemed presence of industry stalwarts such as Subramanian Ramadorai Mahalingam, Seturaman Chandrasekaran Ramakrishnan, Ajoy Mukherjee, and Vijaya Deepti P H. Their insightful discourse on national and societal imperatives, along with their collective efforts to address them, resonated profoundly with the audience. Mr. Sankar Halder, the Founder President of Mukti, delivered a compelling speech outlining the proposed activities of both Mukti and Fortess, further inspiring attendees to actively engage in driving positive change within their communities.
