A two-day intensive Electrocardiography (ECG) Workshop was held at the Mukti Surya Centre for Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) on 28th November and 2nd December 2026 for EMT Batch–1 trainees. Led by an expert trainer with over 10 years of experience in ECG procedures and interpretation, the workshop offered high-quality, hands-on learning focused on enhancing cardiac emergency response skills.
The training aimed to build solid theoretical understanding as well as practical competence in ECG interpretation — a key requirement for emergency medical responders handling cardiac patients in both pre-hospital and clinical environments. Across the two sessions, trainees learned concepts such as heart electrical conduction, arrhythmia identification, lead placement, waveform reading, and vital signs correlation. Practical simulation-based exercises allowed participants to interpret ECG data under real-life emergency scenarios.
Outcome of the Workshop
The workshop produced encouraging results, strengthening both confidence and competence among the trainees. Following the training:
• Students demonstrated accurate ECG lead placement
• Most participants showed significant progress in rhythm assessment and identification
• Trainees gained hands-on experience in reading ECG reports in time-sensitive emergencies
• Confidence increased in responding to patients with suspected cardiac complications
The ECG workshop was well-received and marked a meaningful step toward enriching the skillset of EMT Batch–1 students. By equipping them with advanced cardiac assessment abilities, Mukti Surya Centre continues to reinforce the preparedness of future first responders to save lives when medical intervention is most critical.
