As part of Cyber Security Week (16th to 25th April), Mukti proudly organized an engaging and insightful cyber security workshop for students at the SURYA Project Centre in Raidighi on April 21st. The event was aimed at equipping students with the essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
Facilitated by Shri Soumen Kayal and Shri Sumit Halder, both B.Tech graduates with a passion for technology and education, the workshop saw enthusiastic participation from SURYA students. It focused on foundational aspects of cyber security, including how to safeguard personal information, recognize cyber threats, and implement best practices for online safety.
With digital engagement becoming an integral part of everyday life, especially among youth, the workshop addressed critical issues such as cyber-attacks, phishing scams, identity theft, and privacy breaches. The facilitators emphasized the importance of strong passwords, safe browsing habits, data encryption, and two-factor authentication as essential tools in protecting one’s digital identity.
Designed to be interactive and hands-on, the session featured real-world examples and activities that helped students understand the importance of securing their digital lives. Students also participated in a poster-making session to creatively express their understanding of cyber security concepts.
This initiative underscores the importance of cyber safety education, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas like Raidighi, where access to digital literacy resources remains limited. By empowering young minds with cyber awareness, Mukti continues its commitment to bridging the digital divide and fostering a safer online environment for all.
