In a unique initiative to prevent social erosion and ensure the safety of children, a vital awareness workshop on Child Sexual Abuse was organized at the Talda Mukti Support School. Held on February 14, 2026, the program was conducted with the special cooperation of the Paschim Medinipur District Police and under the management of the “Menkapur Arushi Foundation.”
Training by Scholars from IIT Kharagpur
The primary highlight of the workshop was the active participation of a group of talented researchers and students from the “CRY” organization at IIT Kharagpur. Under their expert guidance, various aspects of child sexual abuse and methods of prevention were presented in a simple, lucid, and age-appropriate manner.

In addition to the students, a large number of parents and guardians attended the awareness camp. Given the current social reality, the discussions helped foster deep awareness and a correct perspective among all participants.
A Positive Step Toward Social Reform
Teachers and participants alike were deeply moved by the initiative. According to the organizers, against the backdrop of rising social challenges, such bold and open discussions have instilled courage in children, making them significantly more aware of their own safety and personal boundaries.
The program concluded with an interactive Feedback Session, during which questions and concerns from both students and parents were addressed, clearing any lingering doubts.
