Continuing its commitment to fostering meaningful relationships between sponsors and students, Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Programme organised a virtual Sponsor–Student Meeting on 22 July 2026. The meeting was designed to introduce the sponsor and student, encourage open interaction, and build a lasting relationship based on trust, mentorship, and mutual encouragement. At Mukti, a sponsor is regarded not only as a financial supporter but also as a mentor and a second guardian who inspires students to pursue their aspirations with confidence.
The interaction brought together Ms. Prarthana Dutta, based in Sydney, Australia, and her sponsored student, Payel Khamaru. Ms. Dutta has been associated with Mukti since 2025, supporting deserving students through the TSS Programme.
Born and raised in Kolkata, Ms. Dutta completed her Bachelor of Technology before beginning her professional journey in the information technology sector. She started her career in Bengaluru, where she worked for nearly five to six years, gaining valuable industry experience. Since 2018, she has been based in Sydney, Australia, where she is currently employed with an Australian bank as an IT professional, continuing to build a successful career in the technology sector.
During the meeting, Payel Khamaru introduced herself and shared her educational journey. She is currently pursuing B.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology, 2nd Year, 4th Semester, at Raidighi College. Coming from a middle-class family, Payel’s father is the sole earning member and works tirelessly to support the family’s needs as well as her education.
Payel shared her aspiration of building a career in the education sector as a teacher. She also expressed a keen interest in learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) to broaden her knowledge, strengthen her skills, and enhance her future career opportunities. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility, she hopes to become financially independent, support her family, and contribute positively to society through her work.
Ms. Dutta warmly encouraged Payel to remain focused on her academic journey while reminding her that true success extends beyond professional achievements. She emphasised the importance of compassion, integrity, humility, and becoming a responsible individual who contributes meaningfully to society.
The interaction provided a valuable opportunity for both sponsor and student to connect on a personal level, exchange experiences, and learn about each other’s journeys. The meeting concluded on a warm and positive note, with both expressing their happiness at getting to know one another and looking forward to staying connected in the years ahead.
Through such interactions, Mukti’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) Programme continues to nurture relationships that go beyond financial assistance, creating a strong support system where mentorship, encouragement, and shared aspirations empower deserving students to achieve their educational and life goals.
