On 7th and 8th February, Mr. Padmanava Sen from Asha for Education visited three of their sponsored Mukti Support Schools in the Sundarbans region — Purbasridharpur and Jogendrapur in Mathurapur II Block, and Purbachintamanipur in Patharpratima.
At each centre, he spent meaningful time with the students, interacting with them individually and listening closely to their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. The children were delighted to meet him, and the interactions went far beyond academics. Through heartfelt conversations, he encouraged them to reflect on values, character, and the importance of growing into responsible and compassionate individuals. His warmth and simplicity helped him connect deeply with the students, leaving a lasting impression on young minds. As a gesture of their affection, the children presented him with handmade drawings, models, and creative tokens.
On the evening of 7th February, Mr. Sen also held an engaging discussion with local teachers, along with the Teacher Coordinator and Field Coordinator. The conversation focused on the progress of the programme, key challenges, and ways to further strengthen the impact of the Mukti Support Schools.
The visit was a deeply enriching experience for everyone involved. Students, teachers, and team members alike felt honoured by his presence. More than just a review, the visit served as a source of encouragement and inspiration, reinforcing a shared commitment to nurturing education, empathy, and community-driven development across the region.
