Mukti Volunteers Rescued Wildlife Animals

Like the humans of Sundarban many wildlife animals have been stranded, killed and rendered homeless due to the severe cyclone Yaas. High tidal waves destroyed their shelters. Some of them were killed and some were swept away to nearby human residential area.

Mukti volunteers rescued one deer and one crocodile in distress, struggling for life.

The deer was found on 26^th May, 2021 at Dayapur under Gosaba Block at about 1:30 PM. It came from the Sajnekhali forest. Mukti volunteers with the help of the forest department send it back to the forest.

Today morning on 29^th May, 2021 villagers of Brajaballavpur under Pathapratima Block noticed one crocodile was swimming in the pond. They got scared and called the forest department. After a long time of struggle Mukti volunteers with the help of the forest department caught the crocodile and released it into the deep sea.
