Mukti Volunteers and Villagers Started Repairing River Embankments
The cyclone has passed through Sundarban. The wind did not cause as much damage as the tidal water did. But the water has started to come down slowly. The flooded areas are still under water.
Mukti volunteers and villagers started to rebuild the embankments. Mukti started “Food for Work” in a large scale where villagers can receive food on behalf of work. Mukti is supporting Rs 100 worth of foods gains to each villagers and tagged them to NREGS to get wages from Government.
Along with this, Mukti also started potable water support for the Yaas affected villagers.
