Mukti is Planting Seasonal Flower Saplings for the Beautification of the Village Roads
Mukti on 3rd December, 20, Thursday launched an initiative to beautify the Model village roads. The beautification initiative covering wide roads and walking tracks will induce pleasant feel among the villagers as well as the outsiders.
Flower plants like Zinnia, Cosmos along with grass will be used to beautify the village roads. Mukti is planting around 2 lacks of saplings covering 6 Km road including the main road and the sub lanes. All these saplings were grown in the Mukti nursery by our women workers.
10 women are planting the flower saplings under “Food for Work” project.
Other than the beautification purpose when the flowering plants grow, they will serve some additional purposes — they will keep the air fresh, will provide food and shelter for the insect world, will offer nectar to both bats and birds and will keep the nature green and tempting with their colors and fragrances.
